Summary:

In 1973 and 1974, a National and 10 regional intergovernmental audit forums, (associations of directors of Federal, State, and local government audit organizations) were organized. The purpose was to improve cooperation and communication among such groups and to improve the efficiency and usefulness of governmental audits. In January 1976, forum representatives met in a joint conference to discuss 10 topics of mutual interest, after which several related projects were initiated. This schedule reports semiannually the progress of these projects, and all others adopted since, along with any reports resulting from the projects. Projects resulting from a second conference held in April 1978 are also included.
