Description:
S. 920 would authorize the appropriation of $502 million over the 2024-2027 period for programs to prevent trafficking in persons. Those amounts would be authorized for accounts managed by the Department of State, Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the U.S. Agency for International Development. CBO estimates that implementing S. 920 would cost $258 million over the 2023-2028 period, subject to the appropriation of the specified amounts.
