Our development process is highly focused on using requirements-driven design, as dictated by the customer/end-user. The company began with the assistance of funding sponsored by the United States Air Force Research Laboratory’s (AFRL) Small Business Initiative Research (SBIR) contract. Initially operating as a division of Windmill, AQYR began production of a unique SATCOM receive suite for warfighters needing reliable, portable connection to the Global Broadcast System (GBS). AFRL has recognized Windmill’s accomplishments as a “SBIR success story.” The Small Business Administration and the Smaller Business Administration of New England’s (SBANE) have both recognized AQYR with awards for technical innovation.
