Pursuant to the permission granted in Clause 2(h) of Rule II of the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Clerk notified the House that she had received the following message from the Secretary of the Senate on June 21, 2018, at 9:31 a.m.: That the Senate passed H.R. 770, with an amendment.

The House received a communication from Mr. John Wingrove, Community Liaison, Representative Andy Harris. Pursuant to Rule VIII of the Rules of the House of Representatives, Mr. Wingrove notified the House that he had been served with a subpoena for testimony issued by the Circuit Court for Queen Anne's County, Maryland, and that after consultation with the Office of General Counsel, he had determined that compliance with the subpoena was consistent with the privileges and rights of the House.

SPEAKER'S APPROVAL OF THE JOURNAL - The Chair announced that he had examined the Journal of the last day's proceedings and had approved it. Mr. Trott demanded that the question be put on agreeing to the Speaker's approval of the Journal and by voice vote, the Chair announced that the ayes had prevailed. Mr. Trott objected to the voice vote based upon the absence of a quorum and the Chair postponed further proceedings on the question of the Speaker's approval of the Journal until later in the legislative day.
