Summary:
The retirement of Justice O'Connor from the Supreme Court and her replacement by a
nominee of
President Bush provoke numerous questions about the impact of the change in Court membership
in a wide variety of issues, both constitutional and statutory. The purpose of this report is to identify
significant opinions of Justice O'Connor, opinions of the Court, concurrences, and dissents,
which
could assist interested parties to assess possible changes in Court jurisprudence that may be
anticipated over the next several years. This report does not attempt to be comprehensive but rather
suggestive and selective.
