Summary:
In response to numerous requests for information on the related issues of drunk driving and raising the drinking age, we have prepared this packet of informational materials. At the present time officials at the Federal level are becoming more concerned about these areas and are beginning to look for possible solutions on a national scale. However, many State and local governments have passed or are presently considering stiffer legislation. Information on action at these levels can be obtaining by contacting the appropriate State or local agency. Information at the Federal level is available from: U.S. Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Washington, D.C. 29590 Additional information on this subject, particularly in newspapers and periodicals, may be found in a local library through the use of such reference sources as Readers' Guide to Periodical Literature, Public Affairs Information Service Bulletin (PAIS), and the New York Times Index. We hope this information will be helpful.
