The Assistive Technology Act (AT Act) of 1998 is a major source of federal funding for individuals with disabilities needing Assistive Technology. Assistive Technology is generally defined as any kind of device or service that assists persons with disabilities to perform day-to-day tasks and activities. Authorization for the AT Act expires on September 30, 2004.
