Premium   Download PDF Now (3 pages)
Congress 116th
Date Requested Oct. 2, 2018
Requested By Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources
Date Sent Oct. 17, 2018
Description:
S. 1787 would authorize the annual appropriation of $64 million through 2023 to carry out the National Cooperative Geologic Mapping Program.   CBO estimates that implementing S. 1787 would cost $310 million over the 2019-2023 period, assuming appropriation of the authorized amounts. Enacting the bill would not affect direct spending or revenues; therefore, pay-as-you-go procedures do not apply.   CBO estimates that enacting S. 1787 would not increase net direct spending or on-budget deficits in any of the four consecutive 10-year periods beginning in 2029.   S. 1787 contains no intergovernmental or private-sector mandates as defined in the Unfunded Mandates Reform Act.
