H.R. 1488, Indiana Dunes National Park Act (CBO Report for Congress)

Premium   Download PDF Now (1 page)
Congress 115th
Date Requested Oct. 4, 2017
Requested By House Committee on Natural Resources
Date Sent Oct. 17, 2017
Description:

H.R. 1488 would redesignate the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, an existing unit of the National Park Service (NPS) system, as the Indiana Dunes National Park.

Redesignating the site may require NPS to update maps, handouts, and signage. On the basis of the costs of similar tasks, CBO estimates that those costs would be insignificant and would be subject to the availability of appropriated funds. Enacting H.R. 1488 would not affect direct spending or revenues; therefore, pay-as-you-go procedures do not apply.

CBO estimates that enacting H.R. 1488 would not increase net direct spending or on-budget deficits in any of the four consecutive 10-year periods beginning in 2028.

H.R. 1488 contains no intergovernmental or private-sector mandates as defined in the Unfunded Mandates Reform Act.
