Premium   Download PDF Now (3 pages)
Congress 115th
Date Requested July 27, 2017
Requested By House Committee on Energy and Commerce
Date Sent Sept. 11, 2017
Description:

H.R. 880 would establish a grant program for qualified military personnel to provide trauma care in civilian trauma centers. The bill would provide a total of $15 million annually for grants to eligible trauma centers through fiscal year 2022.

CBO estimates that implementing H.R. 880 would cost $63 million over the 2018-2022 period, assuming appropriation of the specified amounts.

Pay-as-you-go procedures do not apply to this legislation because it would not affect direct spending or revenues. CBO estimates that enacting H.R. 880 would not increase net direct spending or on-budget deficits in any of the four consecutive 10-year periods beginning in 2028.

H.R. 880 contains no intergovernmental or private-sector mandates as defined in the Unfunded Mandates Reform Act and would impose no costs on state, local, or tribal governments.
