Summary:

On December 28, 2000, the 2000 Census population figures and the resulting reapportionment of seats in the House of Representatives were released. The apportionment population of the 50 states in 2000 is 381,424,177, a figure 13.4 percent greater than in 1990. Twelve seats will shift among 18 states in the 108th Congress.
