Description:
H.R. 6454 would expand the required duties of the Office of Advocacy at the Small Business Administration (SBA) to include examining the role of small business in the international economy. The bill also would direct the office to represent the views and interests of small businesses before foreign governments and international entities regarding regulatory and trade initiatives that may affect small business. Using information from the SBA, CBO estimates that implementing H.R. 6454 would cost less than $500,000 for the agency to carry out the additional duties required under the bill; such spending would be subject to the availability of appropriated funds.
