Description:
H.R. 4515 would require the Small Business Administration (SBA) to establish a certification program for employees of small business development centers (SBDCs) to assist small businesses on cyber security planning. The act would authorize the SBA to spend up to $350,000 each year to reimburse SBDCs for certification costs. On that basis, CBO estimates that implementing H.R. 4515 would cost $2 million over the 2022-2026 period to fund certification programs at 62 lead SBDCs. Any spending would be subject to the availability of appropriated funds.
