H.R. 3113 would authorize the appropriation of specific amounts totaling about $45 million over the 2022-2025 period for the Department of Agriculture, Department of the Interior, and the Army Corps of Engineers to develop and adopt interagency standards on outdoor recreation data and to make publicly available mapping data on federal lands open for recreation.   For this estimate, CBO assumes that the legislation will be enacted by the end of calendar year 2021. Based on historical spending patterns for similar activities and assuming that the authorized amounts will be appropriated each year, CBO estimates that implementing H.R. 3113 would cost $45 million over the 2021-2026 period. The costs of the legislation, detailed in Table 1, fall within budget function 300 (natural resources and environment).
