Kelsey Moran, former chief of staff to Rep. Lois Frankel (D-Fla.) is re-engineering her career with a shift to the private sector.
Moran started this month as a senior manager of government affiars for Autodesk, which produces engineering and design software. Autodesk has lobbied Congress both directly and through coalitions including the Software Finance and Tax Executives Council and Vertical Infrastructure Coalition. The company, which had more than 10,000 employees and projected revenue of $3.27 billion in fiscal year 2020, has advocated on a wide range of issues including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, access to overseas markets, infrastructure design, workforce development and manufacturing.
Moran started her Hill career as a staff assistant with Rep. Steve Rothman (D-N.J.) and then continued working her way up the ranks with Frankel, serving as the chief of staff starting in December 2017.
Moran's departure set off a series of internal promotions in Frankel's office. Josh Cohen is now chief of staff, and Bradley Solyan was promoted from senior legislative assistant to legislative director.
Andrew Okuyiga, Moran's husband, works as a public policy manager as Amazon.
